Mission
Every successful launch defines our reputation. As Customer Success Engineer (Field Deployment), your mission is to make sure every new flight school or defense unit using Navi AI goes live smoothly, confidently, and operationally ready. You’ll be the boots on the ground — installing systems, training instructors, validating performance, and ensuring our AI works flawlessly in the field. When you’re on-site, Navi becomes real — and our customers become believers.
Responsibilities
- Deployment & Setup: Travel to customer locations to install and configure Navi systems — from data integrations and avionics connections to hardware calibration. Validate that everything runs reliably under operational conditions.
- Customer Training: Deliver hands-on training sessions for instructors, students, and staff. Ensure every user knows how to use Navi confidently and effectively.
- On-Site Support: Troubleshoot issues in real time, resolve problems quickly, and escalate technical challenges to engineering when needed.
- Customization: Adapt configurations to fit unique operational workflows, aircraft types, or data environments.
- Field Insights: Gather and document user feedback, edge cases, and performance data directly from the field.
- Reporting: Communicate deployment results, pain points, and improvement opportunities back to product and engineering teams.
- Customer Relationship: Act as the face of Navi on-site — a trusted, capable representative who earns confidence through competence.
About You
- 2–5 years of experience in field engineering, customer success, or technical implementation roles.
- Strong understanding of hardware/software integrations, cloud systems, and networking basics.
- Excellent communicator — can translate technical details into clear instructions for non-technical users.
- Hands-on problem solver who thrives in dynamic, operational environments.
- Comfortable traveling frequently and working independently in the field.
- Organized, resourceful, and calm under pressure — the kind of person customers rely on.
- Bonus: Familiarity with aviation systems, flight schools, or defense operations.
Why This Role Matters
Navi’s technology only matters if it works where it counts — in the cockpit, briefing room, or operations center. The Customer Success Engineer ensures every deployment runs smoothly, every user feels supported, and every lesson learned makes the product better. You’ll close the loop between what’s built in San Francisco and what’s needed in the field — enabling scale without losing quality.
